Port Blair, Nov. 11: The State President BJP, Shri. Ajoy Bairagi has requested the Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman to provide busses to the Stranded Islanders of Diglipur who had visited Port Blair for attending counselling of various colleges of Port Blair.
Bairagi informed the Deputy Commissioner that these Islanders who comprise of students and their parents are stuck in Port Blair since the last 10 days due to non-availability of any mode of transport. The stranded Islanders had already submitted a list at the STS counter.
Upon receiving the request the Deputy Commissioner immediately acknowledged the message and later informed the State President that three busses are ready and will be leaving for Diglipur from Port Blair on 12th Nov. 2020 during morning hours and if required more busses will be arranged to transport these stranded students and their parents.
Bairagi requests all the stranded students and their parents to avail the service tomorrow morning i.e. 12th NOV 2020 to reach their homes in N & M Andaman District. He has also thanked the Deputy Commissioner South Andaman for his prompt action to help the stranded Islanders.
