Port Blair, Feb 9: On 09.02.2021, the Police Training School, Prothrapur along with an NGO “Humane Touch” conducted an awareness programme on Ill effects of Drugs and Community Policing at Kamraj English Medium Sr. Sec. School, Broookshabad, Port Blair. The objective of the programme is to enhance knowledge among children and to make them aware about ill effects caused by drugs, need and importance of community policing in present society and advisory to be alert, safe and stay away from such bad practices. A total of 61 students and 05 teachers attended the programme.

During the session Shri Michael Raj, DANIPS, Vice Principal, PTS, Inspr. S.K.Sarkar, SI Abdul Manaf of Police Training School, Prothrapur, SI Samiran Mridha, PS Pahargaon and Shri M. Mujib Rehman, President, Humane Touch, NGO delivered lecture. All safety protocols regarding prevention of COVID-19 were strictly adhered to. Students were also briefed on COVID-19, precautions, regular sanitization, maintaining social distancing i.e. “Do Gaj Ki Doori” etc.
