Port Blair, May 5: The Deputy Commissioner (SA) Shri Suneel Anchipaka along with SDM(SA), AC(HQ), AC(S), and AC(U/T) visited the Forest Training School hostel, which has been converted into a Covid Care Center at Wimberley Gunj. The Center has been provided with Doctor and paramedical staff and shall start functioning from tomorrow under the supervision of CMO Wimberlygunj. This step is towards reaching out to the far-flung areas of South Andaman District and decentralised COVID-19 management.

The DC(SA) along with the officials also inspected the containment zone in Badmashpahad. He inquired the field staff about number of ILI/SARI cases, positive cases, medicine delivery and field surveillance.

The DC(SA) has further appealed to all citizens to report any symptoms and any other queries to the nearest PHCs/CHCs or District Control Room numbers 1077/238881/240127 or +919531888844 (whatsapp number) for necessary guidance and further action.

Further, public is requested to follow the orders in their letter and spirit and also sought their cooperation in the fight against the pandemic. The entire Administration is focused on controlling the covid surge. In this regard, DC(SA) reiterated that all-out measures will be taken for strict enforcement of the ongoing Covid-19 restrictions.
