The Chairman, Vice-Chairman, all Board of Directors, Management, and all Employees of our Tribal Co-operative Society, M/S Ellon Hinengo Limited, Car Nicobar, deeply mourn the death of Late Shri Y.E. Jadwet, our Ex-Md, Advisor on 29/5/2021 at GB Pant Hospital, Port Blair. An iconic figure who works tirelessly for the betterment of society in line with the upliftment of our community.
During his tenure as the Managing Director of the society, the society was able to add another fleet of cargo ships to cater to the Islander's essential basic needs and the Govt. Department in the Southern Groups of Island. He started the Ellon Cinema Hall for the community's entertainment, Petrol Pump, etc. He was instrumental in the establishment of Nicobar Athletic Association along with Late Bishop John Richardson, Late Hajee Ebrahim Ali Hussain, and most of all, the establishment of Nicobar Educational Foundation Trust, which helps the community to pursue Higher Education at Port Blair/Mainland, some of them are placed in a high position in the Government Department. Society and the entire tribal community have lost one of their pioneers in social and economic life, and our hearts go out to the bereaved family members. May his soul rest in peace. His contribution in development of EHL post tsunami will always be remembered .
EHL has suspended all its essential commodities activities for three days and has lowered its flag to half in tribute to Shri Yusoof Jadwet.
