Port Blair, June 2: In the critical situations, where we are facing the Second Wave of the COVID-19 and lockdown in Andaman & Nicobar islands; with the grace of Her Holiness Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji Maharaj, the volunteers from Sant Nirankari Mandal, Branch Chouldari, South Andaman distributed Dry Ration Relief Packets at Chouldari village and parts of Bambooflat area (Nimbu Bagicha, Tsunami Shelter Badmas Pahar, Carikabad, Bachra Pahar, Tapu Basti Stewart Gunj). The volunteers covered Widows, Physically Challenged persons and daily wage workers who struggle for food due to lockdown. The distribution was conducted from 28.05.2021 to 31.05.2021 with the slogan of “Manav Ko Manav Ho Pyara, Ek Duje Ka Bane Sahara”.

Among the families which were provided with the Dry Ration Relief Packets; the family of Shri Ram Pukar Singh, R/o CARI Basti, Nimbu Bagicha, Chouldari was effected from the ‘YAAS CYLCONE’ in which a tree fell on their house & it was totally collapsed and had also lost their 17 yrs. old son late Rakesh Singh in the calamity. Total 09 families were given the dry ration relief packets containing Rice-10 Kg, Atta-2 Kg, Dal-2 Kg (1 kg Masoor Dal & 1 Kg Arhar Dal), Mustard Oil-1 Ltr., Salt-1 Kg, Potato-2 Kg, Onion-1 Kg and spices.

During the distribution, safety norms issued by the Administration were kept in concern. According to the Sector In-charge, Sector-13, Zone -45, Port Blair, the campaign to serve the needy people will continue further.
