Port Blair, Aug 10: In continuation to zero tolerance policy against any kind of crime, PS Aberdeen staff have once again cracked a burglary case within few hours and arrested two accused persons and recovered the stolen articles.

A burglary case was reported at PS Aberdeen that on the intervening night of 06-07/08/2022, two unknown persons had entered the godown of APT Logistics Pvt. Ltd, Sisty Nagar by breaking the lock and stolen various valuable items like mobile phones, watches, etc. worth Rs. 2,80,000 (approx.). The unknown offenders had covered their faces with masks to hide their identity. Upon this, a FIR vide No. 122/2022 dated 08/08/2022 was registered at P.S. Aberdeen and investigation was entrusted to SI M.J Indrajit.

Immediately, a team was constituted comprising of SI M.J Indrajit (IO), HC Sunil Singh Yadav, PCs S.N Rao, Sandeep Lakra, Sonu Yadav and D. Shiv Kumar under the supervision of Insp. K. Joju, SHO PS Aberdeen for the search of the unknown accused persons and the stolen properties. The team swung into action at once and working professionally, analyzed the CCTV footages and based on local enquiry, nabbed the accused persons namely D. Ramesh, S/o Late D. Kanta Rao (22) yrs, Private Photographer R/o Dignabad and B. Mahesh, S/o Sh. B. Nagraj (27) yrs, R/o Shiv Colony, Dollygunj. All the stolen properties were recovered from the possession of the accused persons.  The entire investigation took place under the overall supervision of Shri Vinay Mathur, DANIPS, Sub Divisional Police Officer, South Andaman.
