FSI Conducts Campaign on “Har Ghar Tiranga” under AKAM

Port Blair, Aug 14: The Port Blair Base of Fishery Survey of India Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, organised “Har Ghar Tiranga” programme under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) by organising a National Flag Rally on the streets of Port Blair on 12.08.2022 with Officers & Staff of the Base, Fishermen, Fishermen Associations and CISF Unit officials. Before, the start of programme National Flags were distributed, thereafter, the Flag Rally was organised and about 65 people attended the event.

On 13.08.2022 the Base has organized Fishing Boats Sea Flag Rally at Junglighat fish landing Centre, Port Blair. Before start the programme, National Flags were distributed to about 200 fishermen and Shri Puran Singh, Sr. Scientific Assistant welcomed the participants and briefed the significance of “Har Ghar Tiranga” and Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. Thereafter, introductory address on “Har Ghar Tiranga” and organising of Fishing Boats Flag rally. Shri K.P. Mohan, DDG, BSNL was also delivered a speech on importance of “Har Ghar Tiranga” and Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. Shri Bhargav Chakravarthy, Asst. Fisheries Development Officer, Dept. of Fisheries, A&N Administration who is in charge of Junglighat Fish landing centre has also delivered a speech on Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. Shri B. Hema Raju, General Secretary, Fishermen Welfare Association, Port Blair spoke on behalf of fishermen community regarding Fishing boat, flag rally.

Dr. Vinod Kumar Mudumala, Zonal Director delivered a speech on the activities of FSI and organising of Fishing boats flag rally in association with the Directorate of Fisheries A&N Admin., CISF Unit, Port Blair, Fishermen Community, Junglighat Fishermen Associations, A&N Islands, Fishermen co-operative societies, A&N Islands, Andhra Association and other organisations. He tanked all the participants for supporting to organising the events. He also thanked Shri B. Hema Raju, General Secretary for co-ordinating the programme.

Shri Rajendra B. Dokare, Service Engineer (Mech) delivered vote of tanks. He thanked the Director of Fisheries, A&N Islands, Port Blair for sending representatives, Deputy Commandant, CISF for supporting the event by sending the team and all the Fishermen community and Associations for making the event successful.
