Bengaluru, July 29: The Andaman Association of Tour Operators (AATO), led by its president Shri M. Vinod, successfully concluded their participation in the India International Travel Mart (IITM) held at Palace Grounds, Bengaluru, from 26th to 28th July 2024. The exhibition, which showcased a diverse range of domestic and international travel destinations, provided a significant platform for promoting tourism in the Andaman Islands.

The AATO pavilion was inaugurated by Shri K. Lakshminarayanan, the Hon'ble Tourism Minister of Puducherry. More than 20 delegates from AATO participated in the event, with the support from Makruzz, a leading ferry service in Andamans. Vinod highlighted the exhibition's role in enhancing the visibility of the Andaman Islands among global tourism stakeholders. He emphasized that the event offered a valuable opportunity for Andaman's tourism sector to present its unique products and services to the travel community.

The IITM in Bengaluru attracted thousands of participants, including representatives from tourism departments of over 20 states and numerous international stakeholders. AATO's presence at the event underscored its ongoing commitment to promoting Andaman tourism on a global scale.

Looking ahead, AATO plans to continue its promotional efforts by participating in other major tourism exhibitions and trade fairs, including SATTE in New Delhi and TTF in Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat. These events will further AATO's mission to showcase the Andaman Islands as a premier travel destination.
