Port Blair, July 29: In continuation of the zero tolerance policy against crime, working tirelessly in a professional manner, the team of PS Pahargaon demonstrated exemplary dedication by swiftly apprehending the absconding suspects within a short span of 08 hours.

On 26/07/2024 at around 1030 hrs, an incident occurred in Dollygunj area. The complainant and his wife were walking in the main road when a car approached at high speed and rash driving stopped abruptly. This led to an altercation in which the driver along with two other individuals came out from the car and began misbehaving by using foul language and physically manhandling the couple. The perpetrators snatched the gold ornaments of the couple, molested the lady and fled from the scene.

Based on the statement of the complainant, PS Pahargaon promptly registered a case under relevant section of BNS 2023 against the three unknown accused persons. Acting swiftly, a dedicated team led by SI P Jeevan along with HCs Sunil Singh Yadav, Ibrahim Ali, Vinod, PCs Shiv Kumar, Santosh Lall and Ct Peter under the supervision of Insp. Rahul, SHO PS Pahargaon was formed to track down the absconders.

Through diligent investigation and strategic deployment of resources, the team swiftly identified and apprehended the absconding suspects Dinesh S/o Shri R. Someshwar Rao (25) Yrs R/o Dollygunj Happy Colony, Rupesh Kumar Thapa S/o Late Dinesh Kumar Thapa (28) Yrs R/o Dollygunj Happy Colony and S. Siva Raj S/o Late V. Selva Raj (24) Yrs R/o Guptapara. All the accused persons were arrested and produced before the Hon’ble Court from where they were sent to Judicial Custody.
