On this momentous occasion of our 78th Independence Day, I extend my heartfelt greetings to all Islanders.

Today is the day when we should look back and remember the sacrifices of our great leaders who bestowed their lives for the freedom of India. But at the same it is a day to learn from the past mistakes that is creating problems in the harmonious co-existence of all community people in this great nation. We need to stand united to defeat the challenges that are threatening this country from within and by external forces.  

The need of the hour is to be vigilant and understand about the designs of evil forces that are planning to destabilize this country.

On this important occasion we must take pledge to defeat malevolent forces working against India and to work to make this country the most developed country in the world.

Wishing you all a Happy Independence Day filled with hope, pride, and unity.
