Port Blair, Sept. 4: The Directorate of Information, Publicity & Tourism, A&N Administration has informed that a draft ‘Astro Tourism Policy for A&N Islands’ has been formulated with the aim to promote sustainable Astro Tourism activities that benefit both the stargazers and the local communities, while also preserving the natural environment of the Islands.
The draft policy may also help to promote sustainable tourism that leverages the regions clear skies, minimal light pollution, natural beauty, offering visitors a unique celestial experience.
The draft policy is placed in the public domain seeking suggestions/comments/inputs from general public, tourism stakeholders, various Departments etc. The draft policy is available in the official website of Directorate of IP&T https://www.andamantourism.gov.in.
All comments/suggestions/inputs may be submitted to the Directorate of IP&T within a period of 30 days starting from 05/09/2024 to 05/10/2024.
