Campbell Bay, Sept. 4: World Coconut Day was celebrated on September 2nd at the Rajiv Nagar Community Hall, Campbell Bay by the Department of Agriculture. The event was held with the theme ‘Coconut for a Circular Economy: Building Partnership for Maximum Value’ to promote the importance of coconuts worldwide.
To create awareness about coconut's versatility in agriculture, nutrition, and the economy, a Recipe and Handicrafts Competition was organized. The program was addressed by the Assistant Director (Agri.), Department of Agriculture, Campbell Bay. Shri Barnabas, Chairman Tribal Council was the chief guest on the occaison. Dr. Sanjhali Soren, Senior Veterinary Officer and Shri Sanjay Ekka, Up-Pramukh were the guests of honor on the occasion.
The competition focused on coconut-themed creations and was judged based on skill and quality.
