On the occasion of Teachers' Day, I extend my heartiest greetings to the teaching fraternity in A&N Islands. I also pay my sincere tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, former President of India, Bharat Ratna recipient and a distinguished teacher on his 136th birth anniversary today.
The 21st century will be shaped by societies that accord top priority to education, research, and innovation. Needless to say, the role of our teachers is extremely vital in the realization of Viksit Bharat vision of our Hon'ble Prime Minister. This occasion also calls us to acknowledge and appreciate the selfless service, dedication, and unwavering commitment of our teachers in shaping young minds, inspiring curiosity, igniting passion, and inculcating the values necessary for lifelong learning.
I am delighted to know that our teachers are making wholehearted efforts, developing competencies among students to make them responsible citizens of our great nation. This will equip young learners to achieve the desired learning outcomes, as stipulated in New Education Policy 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework 2023.
Once again, on this day, I wish all the teachers a very Happy Teachers' Day.
