Port Blair, Sept. 4: A workshop on Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP) - Integration with Andaman & Nicobar Administration was organized by Directorate of Industries, A&N Administration & NICDC Logistics Data Services (NLDS) today in the Conference Hall of Directorate of Industries at Middle Point.

NICDC Logistics Data Services (NLDS) is a joint venture between Government of India represented by National Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust (NICDIT) and Japanese IT major NEC Corporation, with 50:50 equity participation.

The workshop was organized to disseminate information on the Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP) and to make aware of the ULIP scheme. The workshop brought together various stakeholders of Logistic Sector in A&N Islands including officials from various Departments of A & N Administration and Warehousing Corporations.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Abhishek Bhukal, Director of Industries, A&N Administration, informed that A&N Islands is pioneer in launching A&N Islands Logistic Policy among UTs of India. He emphasized on the transformation ULIP offers as an unprecedented opportunity for A&N Islands to enhance logistics frameworks.

He advised the officials to actively leverage ULIP workshop and stay committed to their vision of simplifying logistics processes, driving forward a seamless, efficient, inclusive logistics sector across A&N Islands.

Shri Atanu Manna, Head of Operation, NLDS informed that ULIP continues to lead the charge in transforming India’s logistics landscape. He informed that ULIP platform provides a digital gateway for industry players to access logistics-related datasets from various Government systems through API-based integration. 

A ULIP Presentation and video was showcased wherein Govt. & Pvt. use of ULIP Integration, its architecture, collaboration with Centre & State Departments, its usage by Industries, authentication, route optimization, green logistics, innovative applications developed through ULIP and their significant contributions to enhancing logistics efficiency was disseminated. A discussion on Department specific data layers and ULIP integration was discussed.

The workshop was a resounding success with officials expressing gratitude for the opportunity to learn and grow.
