Port Blair, Sept. 9: The Composite Regional Centre (CRC), Andaman and Nicobar Islands, in collaboration with the Social Welfare Department will be conducting a series of Screening and Awareness Generation Camps for Divyangjans (Persons with Disabilities) in North & Middle Andaman District.
These camps are part of its ongoing efforts to provide essential assistive devices under the Assistance to Disabled Persons (ADIP) Scheme and to raise awareness about available support services. A dedicated team has been deployed to conduct these camps. Accordingly, the camp will be held in Mayabunder on Sept.10, 2024 at Rampur Panchayat and at GPOA Hall at Diglipur from 9 am to 3 pm on Sept.11, 2024.
All beneficiaries in need of assistive devices or information about the ADIP Scheme have been requested to attend the screening camps at their respective locations. This initiative aims to ensure that those in need of support can access the necessary resources and services.
Individuals with disabilities, along with their families and caregivers have been encouraged to attend the screening camp at Mayabunder with required documents viz. Photos (2), Aadhaar copy, UDID copy and certificate for BPL (optional). They have been asked to contact the area Anganwadi workers for registration and take advantage of the services provided by CRC under NIEPMD.
