Diglipur, Oct. 28: During his maiden visit to North & Middle Andaman, Shri Hargobinder Singh Dhaliwal, IPS, Director General of Police, A&N Islands, visited the recently inaugurated Children’s Traffic Park at Diglipur along with Ms. Geetanjali Khandelwal, IPS, SP(D) N&MA District. This in-house project by the A&N Police, dedicated to the people of North & Middle Andaman District, is designed to educate young minds on traffic rules and safety.

The park, a first-of-its-kind in the region, features a dedicated cycle track with bicycles for all age groups, an innovative e-learning kiosk, “Gyan Kendra,” offering interactive traffic education modules, and the “Kalpong Kafe” cafeteria. It also includes an adventurous sports area to engage children in physical activities.

The DGP interacted warmly with children enjoying the facilities, cycling and playing in the park, and emphasized that spending time with children is always a source of joy. Commending the visionary work of Ms. Geetanjali Khandelwal, IPS, Superintendent of Police, North & Middle Andaman District, he praised the project for its valuable contribution to the local community. He also distributed sweets, making the day memorable for the children.

The visit and inauguration mark a significant step in community engagement and safety awareness, strengthening the bond between A&N Police and the locals while prioritizing the safety and education of future generations.
