Beodnabad, Oct. 28: A Health & Legal Awareness Camp was successfully organized by A&N Mahila Congress under the initiative of ‘Naari Nyay’ programme of All India Mahila Congress at the Beodnabad Community Hall on October 27.

The event, aimed at empowering women through legal education, health awareness, and providing health check-up, attracted a large turnout of community members. The event was organised by Ms. V. K. Mariyam Bibi, Co-ordinator (A&N Mahila Congress).

Padma Shri awardee Smt. Kamachi Chellammal graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, and inaugurated the programme with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, accompanied by other distinguished guests.

Addressing the gathering, she said, organising health and legal awareness camps, especially for women, will boost their confidence and help them understand legal aspects and issues related to their health. 

Ms. V. K. Mariyam Bibi formally welcomed the guests, setting a warm and engaging tone for the day’s proceedings.

Advocate Sneha addressed the gathering, enlightening the audience on the legal rights of women.

Dr. Sanam from Ritika Diagnostic Solutions led the medical camp, providing health check-ups to numerous attendees. She also spoke about the importance of hygiene and overall health in women.

Smti Shanta laxman Singh,former President A&N State Mahila Congress  also spoke on the occasion.

To further raise awareness, a skit on breast cancer was staged by GD Goenka academy highlighting the importance of early detection and regular screenings, particularly given the rising cases of breast cancer among women. The skit resonated strongly with the audience, delivering an impactful message on the significance of proactive health measures.

During the program, sanitary pads were also distributed to the girls and women of Beodnabad village.

The event concluded with comprehensive medical examinations for a large number of attendees, underscoring the commitment of the ‘Naari Nyay’ programme to the health and legal empowerment of women.
