Hope Town, Nov 1: Under the leadership of Smti Alka Lamba, National President of All India Mahila Congress, Ms. V.K. Mariyam Bibi, Coordinator of the Andaman & Nicobar State Mahila Congress, organized a special prayer session at the Anna Nagar Community Hall, Hope Town, to commemorate the death anniversary of the late Indira Gandhi, former Prime Minister of India. The event aimed to honor the legacy of a leader whose contributions to the nation remain unforgettable.

The session began with floral tributes at Indira Gandhi’s portrait, followed by prayers led by respected religious leaders from various faiths, symbolizing unity and harmony. The distinguished dharma gurus included Pandit Shri Ashutosh Dubey, Maulana Shri Muthavul Haque, and Father Sebastin, each of whom offered prayers and delivered heartfelt messages commemorating this solemn day.

Ms. Mariyam Bibi shared inspiring insights into Indira Gandhi's life and achievements, underscoring her role as a visionary leader and her significant contributions to India’s progress. In her address, Ms. Mariyam Bibi also reflected on the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, celebrated as National Unity Day, highlighting Patel’s pivotal role in fostering unity across the nation. In recognition of this, the Rashtriya Ekta Pledge was collectively taken by all attendees.
