Mayabunder, Nov. 11: The Deputy Commissioner, North and Middle Andaman, Shri Dilkhush Meena, IAS today chaired review meetings on 'PRAYAS' initiative, progress of Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) and ‘Kuposhan Mukht Panchayat Abhiyan’, along with ACs, DEOs and CDPOs.

The Deputy Commissioner commended the significant progress achieved so far and emphasized the importance of coordination across Departments to maximize impact and also focus upon the gaps where a lot of work needs to be done to achieve the targets in a time-bound manner. The Deputy Commissioner also urged the DEOs to provide feedback by students for more active participation and sessions to be organised as per demand of the students. Under ‘Kuposhan Mukt Panchayat’, emphasis was made on the children who are continuing in the category of malnutrition for more than 6 months.

The Deputy Commissioner also emphasized on the importance of review by ACs and concerned Departmental Officers at local level and field visits for continuous monitoring and better outcomes of the initiative.
