Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 24: The Chief Secretary of Andaman & Nicobar Administration, Shri Keshav Chandra, IAS has said that the Administration is working hard and sincerely for the overall development of Islands and for the welfare of the Islanders. Shri Keshav Chandra was speaking today (Sunday 24 November) at a Programme, organized by Chinmaya Mission to bid him farewell on his transfer to New Delhi.
Chief Secretary said that during his tenure of around 2 and 3 months here, he tried his best to solve the issues related to Islands development.
While quoting Mantras from Ishvashya Upanishad and Bhagwat Geeta, Shri Keshav Chandra said that spirituality gives us inner strength to face all types of situations and work selflessly. It is not possible to satisfy all the people for all the time but we have to work with devotion and enthusiasm. He said that spirituality can provide a sense of purpose and meaning. While mentioning about operation of International flight and upcoming project of sea plane, he thanked the officials and islanders for their support. Shri Keshav Chjandra advised to the audience to work selflessly for the welfare of the society and bring the happiness in common man’s lives.
The resident Acharya of the Mission Swami Shuddhananda Saraswati speaking on this occasion conveyed his best wishes to Shri Keshav Chandra for his new assignment as a Chairperson New Delhi Municipal Council. Swami Shuddhananda said that spirituality recognizes that our role in life has a greater value than what we do every day. It can relieve us from dependence on material things and help us to understand life’s greater purpose.
Earlier President of the Chinmaya Mission, Shri Surendra Prahladka welcomed the Chief Secretary while President of the Chinmmay Vanprastha Sanstha, Shri Manohar Singh presented a shawl to him.
