Port Blair, Jan. 17: As part of the ongoing 64th Army Day Celebrations, ARMY DAY DINNER was organized at 108 Mountain Brigade Officers’ Mess at Birchgunj Military Station on 15 Jan 2012. Army Day cake was cut by the CINCAN along with the youngest Army Officer of Andaman & Nicobar Command to commemorate the 64th Army Day. Camaraderie and solidarity was put on fine display by the Army Officers and the ladies while putting up a short variety entertainment programme. Hospitality was at its best during the ceremonial function which was attended by the complete who’s-who of Andaman and Nicobar Civil Administration and Andaman and Nicobar Command. Before calling it a day, the guests as well as the hosts signed and gave their wishes / remarks on the parchment papers placed on the rostrums. As per tradition, the parchment papers of the Army Day Dinner 2011 will now be removed from display at officers’ mess and will be preserved for posterity to see & derive inspiration. The parchment papers of 2012 will occupy their rightful place and will be put on display as a prized possession at the 108 Mountain Brigade Officers’ Mess.
