Port Blair, May 20: As part of the observance of Anti-Terrorism Day and to mark the death anniversary of former Prime Minister of India, Late Rajiv Gandhi, the Lt Governor, Lt Gen (Retd) Bhopinder Singh, PVSM, AVSM, today administered Anti-Terrorism pledge to all the staff of Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat. The objective behind observance of Anti-Terrorism Day is to wean away the youth from terrorism and cult of violence being perpetrated by the terrorists in the country.
 
At the Secretariat, Chief Secretary, Shri Shakti Sinha administered the anti- terrorism pledge to the officers and staff. Pledge was also taken at the Zilla Parishad, South Andaman where the Up-Adhyaksh, Shri Jaydeep Kumar Dey, took the pledge with the officers and staff of Zilla Parishad, South Andaman in the conference hall of Zilla Parishad.
