Port Blair, Aug. 14: On the occasion of the 66^th Independence Day a lunch was organized for the residents of the old age home at Ferrargunj by the Army component of Andaman and Nicobar command on 10^th Aug 2012. Better known as the ‘The Amphibians’, the 108 Mountain Brigade continues a proud tradition of reaching out and helping those in need. The interaction with the residents of the old age home included lunch and was aimed at understanding and fostering a sense of responsibility and empathy for the elders and the needy. Gifts were distributed as a community service thus making the residents feel loved and wanted. The kind gesture by the ‘Men in olive green” was deeply appreciated by the residents of the old age home.
