Port Blair, Sept. 19: It is a nightmare for the govt. employees of various departments posted in Teressa Island, in the Nancowry group of Islands. The reason being shortage of accommodation and lack of maintenance of the existing ones by the APWD.

In a complaint received by Andaman Chronicle, it is learnt that the reason for shortage of accommodation is due to lack of maintenance and also favouritism by the concerned incharge entrusted to deal with quarter allotment.

The complaint which has been signed by as many as 10 govt. employees said that the concerned Junior Engineer has been allotting shelter to private workers and also to his favourites. This has caused endless trouble to the govt. employees, who had no other way than to pass on the matter to the newspaper.
