Port Blair, Sept. 5: A&N Administration is collaborating with the Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre, Gol, Kolkata in organizing OCTAVE- North East Festival and Silver Jubilee Celebrations of Zonal Cultural Centers at Port Blair during 23^rd -27^th September 2012. OCTAVE- North East Festival is an annual feature of EZCC which is organized with the support of the respective Cultural Department of States/ UTs. This would be an added attraction for the islanders this year. Both the festivals are being clubbed with the food festival organized by Directorate of Tourism during 23^rd -26^th September 2012 at ITF Ground.

The festivals would involve approximately 250 visiting artistes from 8 north eastern States and other parts of India. The highlight of the festival would be Folk and Classical Dances of North East, Crafts Fair and traditional costume shows etc. Five Cultural groups from the islands will also be selected for presenting folk dances in the festival.
