Port Blair, Sept. 7: The Pradesh Congress Committee President, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Director of Health Services to arrange Chemical Re agent unavailable presently at GB Pant Hospital for Thyroid Test.

A communication from the Secretary to President PCC, Shri Haridas Chattopadhyay said, “Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma, President, PCC who has toured to most of the parts of Andaman and Nicobar Islands found that there are quite a large number of Thyroid patients available in these Islands who are suffering from easy fatigue, exhaustion, poor tolerance to cold temperatures, constipation and pain at the writs and numbness of the hands due to this ailment.

“Some of the patients have contacted him and reported to him that they are not getting proper treatment here”.

As per reports the cost of the chemical re-agent is about 500/-. Sharma has requested to the DHS to arrange Chemical Re agent for the treatment of the patients at the earliest so that these patients get suitable treatment to get rid of this disease.
