Requests made to sail MV Campbell Bay
Port Blair, Sept. 11: The President, PCC, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma today requested the Director of Shipping Services to start plying MV Cambell Bay at the earliest, which could not be made ready to sail due to some technical faults.
Sharma explained that due to shortage of passenger ships, the people of the Islands are suffering as ships are the main sources of water transport in these Islands.
The PCC President also requested the Director of Shipping Services to make arrangements to get the State Transport Busses stranded at Kolkata Port for want of transportation.
According to the Secretary to the PCC President, Shri Haridas Chattopadhyay the Director of Shipping Services has assured to initiate immediate action on these matters.
