Campbell Bay, June 10: In the wake of the threat of Novel Corona Virus (COVID-19) the Assistant Commissioner, Campbell Bay in an Order issued today has decided to convert the Panchayat Guest House at Campbell Bay into Isolation Centre. The Isolation Centre will be meant to treat patients with Influenza Like Symptoms (ILI), the Order said.

Port Blair, June 10: Lieutenant General Ajai Singh, AVSM, inspected a Joint Services Guard of Honour and Military Parade at INS Utkrosh on 10th Jun 2021 as the 16th Commander-in-Chief of the Andaman & Nicobar Command (CINCAN). Lieutenant General Ajai Singh assumed command of ANC on 01st Jun 2021. The Guard of Honour and Military Parade comprising of personnel of the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard was commanded by Commander Sunil Dutt Yadav.

Port Blair, June 10: Inspector General Maneesh Vishal Pathak, Tatrakshak Medal is relinquishing Command of Coast Guard Region (A&N) and will be passing the baton to Inspector General Dinesh Rajaputhran, Tatrakshak Medal on 11 Jun 2021. The Flag Officer has been in Command of the Region for more than 03 years. Under his dynamic leadership, the Coast Guard organisation in A&N Islands has performed immensely towards safety and security of Islanders, fishermen and Mariners. During his tenure, Coast Guard ships and aircraft rescued 425 precious lives in different maritime SAR operations, evacuated 23 critical medical patients from remote Islands/Sea.
