Port Blair, Aug. 4: The vessel Sindhu will sail from Port Blair to Kolkata via Mayabunder tomorrow (Aug. 5) at 8 am. Embarkation of passengers will commence from 6 am on Aug. 5 which will be closed one hour before the schedule time. Passengers reporting late will not be allowed to board the vessel. The vessel will sail only after completion of survey procedure which will commence on completion of embarkation of passengers for issuance of ‘B’ Certificate as per MS Act.

Port Blair, Aug. 4: The Spot Round Counselling of CSAB NEUT- 2023 for allotment of vacant seats of degree level Engineering, Architecture and Pharmacy course reserved at mainland institutions is scheduled to be held on 10.08.2023 at from am onwards in the Auditorium of Tagore Govt. College of Education, Port Blair.
The Spot Round allotment will be made to candidates as per JEE Main Rank – 2023 and category-wise vacant seats for Engineering and Architecture seats at the time of counselling. The details of eligibility requirement and academic qualifications for allotment of degree level Engineering, Architecture and Pharmacy course may be seen in the CSAB NEUT- 2023 information Brochure.

Port Blair, Aug. 4: The power supply will remain suspended on Aug. 5, 2023 from 7 am to 1 pm, due to precautionary isolation of underground power cables during undertaking the work of laying pipe line at Dairy Farm junction from MSM Hotel to Hayat Singh Junction by APWD. The said work will be carried out subject to weather condition the schedule is tentative. If the work is completed before the schedule time will be charged accordingly. The inconvenience caused is regretted.

Port Blair, Aug. 4: In response to the online applications received w.r.t the Vacancy Notice dt 05.05.2023 published for recruitment to the post of Agriculture Officer and Agriculture Assistant in the Department of Agriculture, A&N Administration, it is to inform that the written examination for the post of Agriculture Officer and Agriculture Assistant scheduled on 26.08.2023 and 23.08.2023 respectively will be conducted at Port Blair only for all the candidates due to administrative reasons. Hence, the written examination for the candidates who have opted centre at Car Nicobar and Mayabunder will be now held at Port Blair on the scheduled dates.

Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands has deeply mourned the sad demise of Mary Lakra, W/o Ruben Lakra, R/o Mathura, Ex-Samity Member, Mathura Gram Panchayat who passed away last night. He prayed to the Almighty to give eternal peace to the departed soul and courage to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.
