Billiground Nov. 24: On 18/11/2024, a report of a missing minor girl was received at PS Billiground. The girl had been missing since the night of 17/11/2024. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, SHO PS Billiground, Sub-Inspector M.V. Shiju Kumar, constituted a team comprising ASI Diana, ASI (IRBn.) Rajini Babu, HCs Amrita Bawali, Pradeep Kr. Kindo, PCs Mohd. Mustafa, Grick Charles and Abhijeet Mondal.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 24: The Andaman Nicobar Chess Association conducted the A & N State selection trial for U13 and U9 National Chess Championship 2024 today at Chinmaya Mission, Police Line, Sri Vijaya Puram.

The Tournament was inaugurated by Acharya Suddhananda Saraswati, Chinmaya Mission, who made ceremonial first move on the top board against V K Nuhaan Siddique, the youngest chess player of the event in presence of shri Yamin from News Andaman 24 x 7 who graced occasion as a guest of guest of honour.

Mayabunder, Nov. 24: A comprehensive field exercise simulating an earthquake scenario was successfully conducted yesterday by NDRF at Dr. Rajendra Prasad Hospital, Mayabunder. The exercise aimed to evaluate and enhance the readiness of emergency response teams in managing earthquake-related disasters.   Key participants included the Search and Rescue Teams of the Police, Fire Service, and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), who demonstrated exemplary coordination and efficiency in rescuing trapped victims.  Shri G G Paul, Tehsildar, Mayabunder, assumed the critical role of Incident Commander during the exercise. His leadership ensured the smooth execution of rescue operations and highlighted the need for an organized command structure during disasters.
