Port Blair, Jan 11: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has been accorded A++ grade by NAAC. IGNOU is the first higher educational institute in the open distance learning (ODL) mode to be accredited by NAAC. This comes as a New Year gift to the largest university in the world. Thus, IGNOU has become one among the very few educational institutions accorded with the A++ grade. Getting an A++ grade at the first accreditation cycle is a rare achievement for any educational institute in India and IGNOU through its consistent and affirmative efforts has made it possible.
