Sri Vijaya Puram, Dec. 10: Women cell of ICAR- CIARI, Sri Vijaya Puram organized workshop for conducting awareness on Sexual harassment of women at workplace (prevention, prohibition and redressal) as per POCH Act 2013 on 9th December 2024. The POSH Act mandates all organizations, both private and public, to establish Internal Committees (lCs) for handling sexual harassment complaints.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Dec. 10: The team of Police Station Pahargaon has once again demonstrated its commitment and effectiveness in the ongoing fight against drugs. Upholding a zero tolerance policy towards drug-related offenses, on 09/12/2024, the police successfully seized 11 Cannabis (Ganja) plants and arrested one individual under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Dec. 10: Upholding its commitment to safeguarding public assets, the District Administration, South Andaman, carried out a targeted eviction drive in Dudh Line village, reclaiming government revenue land from unauthorized occupation.
The operation resulted in the removal of four encroachments, including temporary fencing with nets, one shed, and plantations of banana and arecanut. Approximately 2000 square meters of prime government land were restored to government khata.
