Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan 27: A ceremonial parade was conducted to commemorate 76th Republic Day on 26 Jan 2025 at Marina Park Road, Sri Vijaya Puram, Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The parade was reviewed by Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, Admiral DK Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, VSM, NM (Retd) as the Chief Guest. The parade comprised contingents from Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard and A&N Police was led by Maj Provaraj Deori of the Andaman and Nicobar Command.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan 27: The 76th Republic Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm by the entire civil aviation community at Veer Savarkar International Airport, Sri Vijaya Puram. The employees of Airports Authority of India, CISF, Airlines and other stakeholders participated in celebration. The entire airport premises was decorated with tri colour lights.

The program started with national flag unfurling by Airport Director Sh Devender Yadav followed by national anthem and guard of honour by CISF.

Chouldari, Jan 27: International Human Rights and Crime Control Organization, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, successfully organized a spectacle distribution event at Choudhari Community Hall South Andaman on 25th January 2025 at 3.30 pm

This event was a follow-up to the eye camp held on 10th December 2024 on the International Human Rights Day, where free eye check-ups were conducted for the local community. The organization distributed spectacles to the beneficiaries, bringing cheer and improved vision to the recipients.

Namunaghar, Jan 27: The 3rd Panchayat Sthapana Diwas Mela -2025 held from 23rd to 26th January featuring over 11 Govt. stalls for educating the people about various schemes of Govt. of India concluded at Lappa Takri Ground, Namunaghar with a spectacular cultural performance.

The closing ceremony was graced by SHO PS Ograbraj Dev Anand Pathak as Chief Guest and Director, Department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services Dr. Navin as Special Guest. They were accompanied by Senior Veterinary Officer's Mohammed, Baljeet Kaur mam and Ms. Sasikala along with Pradhan of GP Mithakhari Mohd. Shafiq and Pradhan of GP Tushnabad Anand Amrit Raj.  They reiterated the government’s commitment to supporting underprivileged and new Startups, highlighting their significant role in India’s journey toward becoming Atmanirbhar.
