PS Aberdeen Registers FIR Against Youth Volunteers for Raising Voice Against Mismanagement at GB Pant
Port Blair, Aug 25: The Police Station, Aberdeen on 24th August 2020 registered an FIR against three youth volunteers who have been involved in social service by risking their lives during the challenging times of the on-going pandemic. The three youths against who the FIR Number: 0316 dated 24/08/2020 was registered are M.A Sajid, Social Worker and Youth Volunteer of Fight for Islander’s Issues, Tanmay Mallick, Social Worker and Youth Volunteer of Fight for Islander’s Issues and Tarun Karthick, Editor, Nico News (Online News Platform, Registered News Page on Facebook), Director, Nico Technologies and Travel Solutions Private Limited.

Port Blair, Aug 25: The Member of Parliament, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration to ensure availability of COVID-19 testing kits at PHC Kadamtala and also in other Health Care Centers in the Inter Islands for testing of symptomatic persons.

Port Blair, Aug 25: The State President, BJP, Shri. Ajoy Bairagi has requested the Lt. Governor and Chief Secretary to provide adequate supply of diesel to Diglipur, North and Middle Andaman. Bairagi in his letter mentioned that at present only one tanker of diesel is supplied to Diglipur, North and Middle Andaman in a week, whereas the actual requirement of diesel in the region is four tankers a week during normal times.

Port Blair, Aug 25: Shri Ayyub Hassan of Chukchucha Village, Car Nicobar has been promoted to the rank of IFS (Indian Forest Services). He is the first tribal from these islands to be promoted to the rank of IFS. Upon his becoming the first tribal IFS, the Chairperson, Shri Rasheed Yusuf & the Managing Committee of Tribal Development Council has expressed their heartiest congratulations.
