Port Blair, March 29: Ram Navami is a Hindu festival to celebrate the birth of Lord Rama to King Dasharatha of Ayodhya. Sri Ram Navami Mahotsav is being organized in Port Blair on 30th of March 2023 by Hindu Sewa Sangh, Hindu Rashtra Shakti and Rashtra Hindu Sangathan. The highlights of the program will be “Ramnavami Rally” starting from Chunnabhatta (Ram Mandir) at 1300 hrs to Chouldari (Ram Aarti, Poojan). The program will culminate with distribution of Bhog Prasad/Annadanam for all the devotees. The HRS, HSS & RHS has requested all islander to join the celebration.

Port Blair, March 29: General public have been informed that due to shortage of operational vessels, the Directorate of Shipping Services is forced to cancel the existing daily sailing schedule for Swaraj Dweep at 1700 hrs from Port Blair and return voyage next day at 0600 hrs from Swaraj Dweep to Port Blair with effect from 01.04.2023. However, on availability of sufficient operational vessels, the service will be resumed accordingly.
