Billiground, Oct. 6: In a concerted effort to combat the illegal liquor trade, PS Billiground executed a successful jungle raid on 05/10/2024. Under the direction of Sub-Inspector Shiju Kumar SHO PS Billiground, a dedicated team led by Head Constable Amrita Bawali, along with Police Constables Ashok Das, Anurud Das, Biplab Bachar, and Abhijeet Mondal, targeted the Korang Nallah jungle area. This location had been under surveillance due to ongoing suspicions of illicit activities.

Rangat, Oct. 6: The District TB Centre, Dr. R.P Hospital Mayabunder in coordination with CMO i/c PHC Billiground, Dr Shailaja & Principal, JNV, Ms Jolly Vincent conducted an Awareness-cum-Intensive Case Finding Campaign for Tuberculosis at Jawahar Navodaya vidyalaya Panchawati today. This initiative aimed at enhancing TB early detection and prevention, focused on high risk group.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 6: The month-long celebration of ‘Rashtriya Poshan Maah’ by AYUSH Wing of DHS and A & N State AYUSH Society (NAM) culminated with the befitting valedictory function held at AYUSH Hospital, Junglighat on Oct. 1, 2024. The event was graced by Dr. Avijit Roy, Deputy Director (Health) DHS as the chief guest. Dr. Ajay Raj S, Professor and HOD, Deptt. of Community Medicines, ANIIMS and Smt. Zareena Bibi, CDPO, (Urban Project), Social Welfare were the guests of honour. The programme was also witnessed by Doctors and Officials of Health Deptt., Social Welfare Deptt., TGCE, RBSK, ANM Training School, ANMs, ASHAs, mothers, children and winner of various competitions held during the month.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 6: The Hon’ble Prime Minister of India has launched Vidyanjali 2.0, a school volunteer programme on 7th September, 2021 during the inaugural Conclave of Shikshak Parv 2021. The Vidyanjali 2.0 programme designed in line with the National Education Policy 2020, aims to enhance the quality of school education through community and volunteers' participation by allowing them to connect directly with Government and Government aided schools and share their knowledge and skills as well as contribute in the form of assets/material/ equipment.
