Car Nicobar, Jan 20: The Nicobar District Police organized various community-focused events across the district as part of the 73rd Police Raising Week being observed from 16th to 22nd January 2025. The activities aimed to strengthen public relations, promote physical well-being, and highlight the importance of sportsmanship and public safety.

On 17th January 2025, Jan Samvad and Jan Sunwai sessions were conducted at multiple locations to enhance public engagement. SP Nicobar, Shri Sunny Gupta, IPS, interacted with the tribal community at Mildera, Katchal, emphasizing cooperation to curb illicit liquor and ensure timely grievance redressal. In Car Nicobar, a session at Kuchat Park was organized focusing on cybercrime awareness, encouraging public vigilance and youth participation in fitness activities. Nancowry Police addressed concerns about cyber fraud, POCSO awareness, and road safety, while Campbell Bay Police engaged with community leaders to discuss local issues.

Ferrargunj, Jan 20: The District Administration, as part of its ongoing efforts to protect government land, has successfully carried out eviction operations against recent encroachments in Ferrargunj Tehsil.

In Bambooflat village, unauthorized occupation was removed, restoring government land to its original status. A total area of 10 square meters of government land was reclaimed and returned to its rightful condition.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan 20: In observance of Police Raising Week and Road Safety Month, 2025 the A&N Traffic Police and South Andaman District Police organised a Blood Donation Camp of police personnel on 20th January 2025, in collaboration with the team of Directorate of Health Services. The event took place at the Conference Hall of PS Aberdeen and was graced by the presence of Shri Manoj Kumar Meena, IPS, Sr. Superintendent of Police (D), South Andaman/Traffic, Shri. Vikas Swami, IPS, SDPO (S/A) and Shri Ajay Kumar Rai, DANIPS, Dy. Superintendent of Police (Traffic).

Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan. 20: The Department of Sports & Youth Affairs, A&N Administration in association with Department of Education, NYK and other line Departments will be organizing Padyatra as part of Parakram Diwas to commemorate the 128th Birth Anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on 23rd January, 2025. The Padayatra will start from Flag Point, South Point at 8 am and culminate at Netaji Stadium at 10.46 am.
