Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan 13: ICAR-Central Island Agricultural Research Institute has been granted a TRADE MARK for the trademark ‘’Dweep’’ (Reg.no: 6350543; J. No: 2171) on 10.01.2025.

Shri Bishnu Pada Ray, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, A & N Islands has greeted all Islanders on the auspicious festival of Pongal, Makar Sankranti and Magh Bihu.

Pongal/ Makar Sankranti, one of the most cherished harvest festivals of India is a celebration of gratitude towards nature for a bountiful harvest. Observed with great enthusiasm in the Islands, this festival marks the beginning of Uttarayan, the sun's journey northwards. From preparing sweet Pongal/ Khichdi to decorating homes with kolams, the festival is a perfect blend of tradition, joy, and togetherness, the MP said in his message.

On the auspicious occasion of ‘Makar Sankranti’ and ‘Pongal’, Hindu Rashtra Shakti extend warm greetings to all the residents of A & N Islands. On this festive occasion, the Hindu Rashtra Shakti team wish that this festival brings joy and success in the lives of all Islanders and our Islands continue to march ahead on the path of peace, prosperity and development.

Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan 13: A two-day CNE Programme on ‘Nurses’ Preparedness and Response in Disaster management’ was conducted by the TNAI A&N UT Branch with the support of TNAI HQ in collaboration with the Directorate of Health Services and Directorate of Disaster Management on 9th & 10th January at Aapda Prabandhan Bhawan.

The inaugural function was graced by Smti Priyanka Tiwari, Director, Disaster Management and Dr. Suja Antony, Director, Health Services.
