Port Blair, July 26: The Indian Red Cross Society, A&N Branch conducted an awareness programme on prevention of COVID-19 followed by distribution of reusable cloth masks among Auto drivers. The programme was organised on 25^th July 2020 at Kerala Samajam premises, Port Blair. All together four batches of 50 each Auto drivers attended the program.

Port Blair, July 26: Kargil Vijay Diwas is celebrated on 26th July every year in honour of the Kargil War Heroes for their courage, valour and sacrifice, after the successful completion of Operation Vijay. The Kargil War was fought for more than sixty days on the icy heights and High Altitude Area of Western Ladakh.

Port Blair, July 26: Shri. N.K. Udhaya Kumar, Chairperson , Port Blair Municipal  Council inspected the Garacharma area wherein due to damage of a major Pipeline at that  area  the water distribution system of some areas of Ward No-24, 19, 18 & 17 was badly disturbed.

District Magistrate South Andaman Issues New Directives to Contain Spread of COVID-19

Port Blair, July 25: The active COVID-19 cases in the Andaman Islands is all time high with a total of 114 cases as on 25^th July 2020. The numbers are expected to increase rapidly if proper measures are not taken by the islanders and the Andaman & Nicobar Administration.
