Port Blair, Sept. 15: Highlighting the problems being faced by residents of Long Island due to withdrawal of M.L. Peema vessel, from Long Island -Yerrata Jetty route, the Member of Parliament of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief Secretary of Andaman and Nicobar Administration to resume the service of the vessel.

Port Blair, Sept. 15: A delegation of AATO comprising of General Secretary Shri.K.Hamza and Jt. Secretary Shri. Saikat Biswas met the Director Tourism, Shri.Alok Kumar Jha and discussed various issues regarding tourism sector. On directions of AATO President Shri. M. Vinod, the delegation urged Dept. of Tourism to restart Kayaking operations for tourists. Biswas also requested the Director to consider increasing the passenger carrying capacity of IV boats to 90% capacity for commercially viable operations.

Port Blair, Sept. 15: In order to ensure that each and every eligible islander is vaccinated, a vaccination camp was organised by Port Blair Guru Ki Rasoi with All India People Welfare Association (AIPWA) in Collaboration with the District Administration (SA) at Wimberlygunj.

Port Blair, Sept.15: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 3,97,735 doses have been administered so far in A&N Islands, out of the target beneficiaries of 2, 81, 603 (approx.). A total of 3801 doses were administered today in A&N Islands. A total of 1,60,706 eligible people in the age group of 18 to 44 years have been vaccinated till date.
