Port Blair, June 22: The Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief Secretary of Andaman & Nicobar Administration to provide weekly three line-boats between Port Blair- Shaheed Dweep - Swaraj Dweep- Kadamtala- Rangat and Long Island so that people can travel between these islands easily.

Diglipur, June 22: The 8th International Yoga Day with the theme" Yoga For Humanity" was observed at all health institutions of Diglipur from 6.30am to 8.00am. The main function was held at Multipurpose Hall Diglipur by CHC Diglipur in collaboration with NYK Diglipur. Mr Radhe Shyam Meena (DANICS) Assistant Commissioner was the chief guest. The programme commenced with the lighting of the traditional lamp by the dignitaries present.

Port Blair, June 22: During the RT-PCR test conducted on 172 passengers who arrived here yesterday, three positive cases have been detected. Today, 12 flights with 1848 passengers arrived, out of which, 1578 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 215 passengers and the reports are awaited.  


MV Chowra will sail for Nancowry via Car Nicobar, Chowra, Teressa & Katchal on 26.06.2022 (Sun) at 0900 Hrs from Haddo Wharf and will now sail for Port Blair on 29.06.2022 (Wed) 0500 Hrs instead of 01.07.2022 from Nancowry via same route.

Port Blair, June 22: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,83,222 doses of vaccine have been administered to beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above so far. Similarly, 23,567 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 years and 13,218 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 12 to 14 years. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 26,974.
