Port Blair, July 5: A media team led by Mr. K Ganeshan, President Daily Newspaper Association Chief Editor, The Andaman Express on Wednesday met Mr. Devesh Chandra Srivastava, Director General of Police, A&N Islands in his chamber and discussed various issues related with the Andaman & Nicobar Police.

Port Blair, July 5: The President of the Andaman Association of Tour Operators, Shri M. Vinod, along with Shri Sumit Mallick, a prominent member of the association, are set to attend the 67th Convention of the Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI). The convention is scheduled to take place in Colombo, Sri Lanka from July 6th to July 9th, and the esteemed representatives have been invited by the Sri Lankan Tourism Promotion Board (SLTPB).

Port Blair, July 5: The Tourism Department in association with all line Departments of the A&N Administration will be organizing the first fest of this season, the ‘Monsoon Tourism Festival-2023’ on July 15 &16, 2023 at Corbyn's Cove Beach, Port Blair from 4 pm   to   9 pm.   The   event   would   include   Rain Dance Competition and Rain Photography Competition.

Port Blair, July 5: In a letter addressed to the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, A & N Islands, Mr. Halder, ANTCC President has highlighted an issue of significant concern regarding the discontinuation of the earlier existing passenger’s flight service at Car Nicobar Airport.

He stated that the discontinuation of passenger flights has not only inconvenienced the local community but has also hindered economic activities and connectivity with the rest of the country. It is essential for the well-being and progress of the region that regular passenger flights services be resumed promptly.

Port Blair, July 5: Kala Kendra - ANISPAC, a society under the Department of Art & Culture, A&N Administration in association with Directorate of IP&T shall be presenting cultural programmes during two days ‘Monsoon Festival’ scheduled to be held on July 15 &16, 2023 at Corbyn's Cove Beach from 5.30 pm onwards.
