Port Blair, July 2: Upon hearing the news on the suggestion of NIA to shift top gangsters of India to Andaman, the Hindu Rashtra Shakti, A&N Islands has raised their objection stating that the decision will adversely affect the society of A&N Islands.  

Port Blair, July 2: As part of World Environment Day celebrations, a “Swachhata Pakhwada-2023” was conducted by Andaman and Nicobar Command (ANC). The event kick started with a “Mass Swachhta Shramdan Campaign” by personnel of ANC at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Dweep from 25th Jun to 30 Jun 23 to foster a sense of responsibility towards the environment.

Port Blair, July 2: Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty wind (speed 40-50 kmph) is likely to occur at one or two places over A&N Islands on July 3. Due to squally weather, wind speed exceeding 45 kmph is likely to prevail over Southeast Bay and adjoining Andaman Sea. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea till July 6, 2023.

Port Blair, July 2: As part of the observance of Helen Keller’s Day on June 27, the Composite Regional Centre A & N Islands organized an ‘Eye Exercise Session-cum-Co-curricular activities’ for the inmates of Abhyudaya Children Home, Directorate of Social Welfare, Ferrargunj on June 28.

Port Blair, July 2: The vessel MV Swaraj Dweep will sail from Port Blair to Chennai on July 3, 2023 at 1000 hrs. Excess baggage will be loaded from 1400 hrs to 1600 hrs on July 2, 2023. Embarkation of passengers will commence from 0800 hrs on July 3. The embarkation of passengers will be closed one hour before the schedule time. Passengers reporting late will not be allowed to board the vessel. The vessel will sail only after completion of survey procedure which will commence on completion of embarkation of passengers for issuance of ‘B’ Certificate as per MS Act.
