Port Blair, March 3: Small arms range firing practice will be carried out by upper and lower subordinates of A&N Police at Police Firing Range, Prothrapur from March 6 to 20, 2023 from 6 am to 12 noon. General public, villagers and residents of Prothrapur and Birdline have been asked to keep themselves and their cattle away from the firing range during the above mentioned dates and time.

Port Blair, March 2: A three days training programme on ‘Open Sea Cage Culture of Finfishes’ jointly organized by the Department of Fisheries and ACOSTI-NIOT was inaugurated by the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Shri Keshav Chandra, IAS, in the Conference hall of NIOT at Dollygunj today.

Speaking on this occasion, the Chief Secretary emphasized on the transfer of technology developed by the research institutes in Fisheries sector to the Fisher community for improving the existing fishing techniques and to enhance individual economic growth.
