Port Blair, Dec. 27: The Two-day long training for Vaccine Cold Chain Handlers (CCH’s) from all the cold chain points in South Andaman District (18) for routine immunization (RI) as well as for COVID-19 vaccination (Co-WIN) was held at SR CASTLE, Dollygunj on Dec 20th & 21st. The training was meant to train CCH’s to record data in electronic vaccine intelligence network (eVIN) app, designed by MoHFW along with UNDP and GAVI. The training was inaugurated by Dr. Omkar Singh (DHS) and in total 32 participants attended this programme for two days.

Classes in TGCE to Commence From 1st January
Port Blair, Dec. 27: The students admitted to first year B.Ed. Degree Programme and four years integrated programme in Education in Tagore Government College of Education Port Blair during the current academic session are hereby informed that Andaman & Nicobar Administration has ordered reopening of Colleges outside containment zones for regular academic activities for the students of first year courses for the academic session 20-21 with effect from 01st January 2021 by strictly adhering to the SOP/Guidelines for reopening of colleges after COVID-19 lockdown issued by the Administration.

Port Blair, Dec. 27: KRI Cut Nayak Dien, ASW Corvette of Kapitan Pattimura class ship from Indonesia and Indian Naval Missile Corvette Kulish participated in the 35th India - Indonesia Coordinated Patrol (CORPAT) in the Andaman Sea from 17 to 18 Dec 20. The aim of the CORPAT was to enhance interoperability and cooperation between the two Navies. Various tactical manoeuvres and exercises were conducted at sea. Indian Navy P-8I Long Range Maritime Patrol aircraft and Indonesian Maritime Patrol aircraft also participated in the exercise.
