Port Blair, June 18: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per the data received from Health Department, a total of 1,36,622 beneficiaries have been vaccinated so far in A&N Islands. A total of 762 people were vaccinated today in A&N Islands while the number of eligible people vaccinated in the age group of 18 to 44 years stood at 16,830 in Isles.

FHRAI Requests Govt. Intervention to Rectify the Anomaly
New Delhi, June 16: India's apex Hospitality Association - Federation of Hotel & Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI) has submitted a representation to the Hon’ble Tourism Minister - Shri Prahlad Singh Patel and to the Hon’ble Minister for Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises – Shri Nitin Gadkari highlighting issues faced by its member establishments over higher electricity tariffs in the Union Territory of Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

Port Blair, June 16: The Central Tribal Cooperative Society, Ellon Hinengo Limited (EHL) has pledged to help the needy Nicobarese in South Andaman. The Campaign was officially started today from EHL office in Port Blair in the presence of Shri Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman, Shri Ameen Moosa, Managing Director, EHL along with entire team of EHL. There are about 400 ration kits out of which 40 of them were distributed today. The distribution will continue everyday between 7.00 am and 9.00 am till the completion of total kits.

More than 100 People Fined in an Hour
Port Blair, June 16: South Andaman District Administration has taken various measures for bringing down the Covid-19 positive cases. Lockdown restrictions have been imposed to reduce the movement of people and fight the pandemic in the district.

Calls Upon Management to go in for Modernization, Augment Services and Improve Performance
Port Blair, June 16: The Member of Parliament, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma today held a meeting with the new management of Consumer Cooperative Society Ltd. at the MP Office. During the meeting he said that in the past a lot of complaints have been received about CCS not being able to provide LPG refills to consumers on time. The MP called up the new CCS management to streamline the LPG distribution system so that consumers do not face difficulties in getting LPG refills. CCS Ltd should develop a robust system of LPG distribution and provide timely services to the customers, he added.
