Port Blair, Aug 30: A two-member delegation of Andaman Association of Tour Operators comprising Shri. Saikat Biswas, Joint Secretary and Shri. Sumit Kumar Mallick attended the 66th cruising convention of Travel Agent Association of India in Singapore recently. The convention was held onboard Spectrum of the Seas, a luxury cruise by Royal Caribbean Cruises.

The delegation also travelled to Malaysia on the cruise and interacted with tourism officials of Singapore and Malaysia.

As per Shri. Saikat Biswas, TAAI is the oldest body of tourism in India and was formed in the year 1951. More than 300 members of TAAI attended the cruising convention held for 4 days from 22 to 25 August 22. Various sessions were organised onboard and it was an opportunity to interact with the pioneers of the tourism industry globally.

Shri. M.Vinod, President of AATO has congratulated Shri. Saikat and Shri. Sumit for representing A&N Islands in such an important international platform. He has also thanked Travel Agents Association of India for inviting AATO members for the cruising convention in Singapore.
