Port Blair, July 27: The Andaman and Nicobar Command (ANC) commemorated the 24th anniversary of 'Kargil Vijay Diwas' by dedicating the day in honouring the exceptional courage, valour, and sacrifice of our Kargil War Heroes. A Joint Services Guard was paraded at Bayonet Square, Brichgunj, Port Blair, signifying the unity and strength of our Armed Forces.

Air Marshal Saju Balakrishnan, AVSM, VM, Commander-in-Chief Andaman and Nicobar Command (CINCAN), laid a wreath in a solemn ceremony to pay homage to the brave martyrs of the Kargil war. The ceremony was also attended by a large number of veterans.

During his address, the CINCAN stressed the significance of "Jointmanship" as a fundamental pillar for future warfare. Emphasizing the importance of seamless coordination and integration amongst all branches of our armed forces, he exhorted all personnel to ensure the security of our island territories and the maritime domain.

As we celebrate Kargil Vijay Diwas, the Andaman and Nicobar Command remains committed with unwavering focus towards maintaining operational readiness and capability to meet any challenge whilst safeguarding our nation's sovereignty and security.
