Port Blair, April 28: A special screening of the movie MAIDAAN organised for the underprivileged children and football enthusiasts by Rotary Club of Port Blair today. To make this event successful, President Amar Gupta, Secretary & PP Dr. Dinesh, PP Mohd Jadwet were present on the occasion.

As many as 26 football players drawn from JNRM team and from various villages including bambooflat, Birdline attended the movie MAIDAAN which was specially screened by Divyum Talkies, Prathrapur.

Maidaan movie is a biographical sports drama film co-written and directed by Amit Ravindranath Sharma and produced by Akash Chawla, Arunava Joy Sengupta, Boney Kapoor & Zee studios, Sports Action by Rob Miller & Reel Sports. Its based on the life of a legendary football coach Syed Abdul Rahim. Ajay Devgan plays the role of Syed Abdul Rahim.

When asked to a budding football player Master Pradeep R/o Birdline. he said "Bahut maaza ayya, paheli baar mein hall mein movie dekha". This impetus will further boost the budding players’ morale in all upcoming events.  Moments like this, further encourages the steadfast commitment.
