Port Blair, May 9: The Armed Police Unit, Police Lines conducted a rejuvenating Yoga and Meditation session in the morning of May 9, 2024, aimed at enhancing the physical and mental well-being of its personnel. The session witnessed active participation from approximately 71 police personnel, demonstrating the department's commitment to promoting holistic health practices among its workforce.

The session was led by Mr. Satish Kinlekar, Mr. Pradeep Solasker from Sahaja Yoga Meditation Experts, Mr. Ajit Kakde (Keyboard Musician), Ms. Anandita Basu (Singer), and Mr. Sunder Rao, State Coordinator and their team of Sahaja Yoga Kendra were present. The session commenced at 0700 hrs in the Drill Hall at Police Lines. It began with gentle stretching exercises and breathing techniques designed to alleviate stress and help relaxation of mind. Participants then engaged in various Yoga Asanas (poses) focusing on their flexibility, strength, and balance.

Following the Yoga session, a guided meditation practice was conducted, enabling participants to cultivate mindfulness and inner peace. Through mindfulness techniques, participants were encouraged to center themselves, fostering mental clarity and emotional resilience, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing self-care and holistic wellness within law enforcement agencies.
